Staff Product Security Engineer

Job Summary

Focused on designing and shipping core CIAM capabilities, the full-time remote Staff Product Security Engineer will build and operate backend services for customer registration, authentication, and account lifecycle flows while collaborating with partner engineering teams to ensure robust security and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate core CIAM backend services for B2C and B2B platforms
• Implement identity standards such as OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, and SCIM while ensuring scalability and integration
• Monitor, debug, and optimize CIAM services for performance and abuse detection in high-scale environments

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in designing and developing backend systems at scale using Python or Kotlin
• Strong production experience with CIAM systems and deep knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, and SCIM
• Experience with cloud-native development, preferably AWS, and CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience integrating CIAM platforms such as Okta or Auth0 using custom code and APIs
• Solid understanding of backend and distributed systems fundamentals, including API design and data modeling
