Staff Production Engineer
Job Summary
To support the scaling of a data platform for millions of developers, the full-time remote Staff Production Engineer will manage partnerships with product teams, design and ship SDKs, and define operational standards for the database platform.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with product and feature teams to shape data modeling, access, and scaling for performance and availability
- Design and ship SDKs and client libraries used for application development
- Define and maintain service level objectives (SLOs) and operational standards for the database platform
Required qualifications
- 9+ years experience in Software Engineering or related technical discipline with proven experience in production software coding in languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python
- 3+ years experience operating large-scale distributed systems in production, including participation in an on-call rotation
- Experience in maintaining and delivering production software with a focus on reliability and scalability
- Ability to write technical documentation and advocate for system health and quality
- Experience contributing to plans for disaster recovery and incident response
