Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Python Engineer (Django) to provide technical leadership for their SMS marketing platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to enhance system reliability, performance, and scalability for the SMS platform
• Maintain and simplify the distributed system for high-volume SMS message delivery
• Create technical documentation and tools to improve developer experience and reduce knowledge silos

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of SaaS software development experience, with 3+ years in Python/Django
• Deep experience with message queuing systems and distributed architectures
• Proven track record of improving legacy codebases, particularly with Django
• Strong systems design skills for building horizontally scalable architectures
• Experience with SMS/telephony or email delivery systems is a plus
