Staff Quality Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Staff Quality Engineer will lead exploratory testing efforts within the Innovation Lab, collaborating with cross-functional teams to evaluate product risks and drive quality assurance practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Embed with Labs/R&D to develop product models, capturing risks and insights before code implementation
- Design and execute structured testing sessions, reporting findings on bugs, risks, and obstacles to testing
- Coach and enable team members in risk modeling, testing strategies, and effective communication of testing outcomes
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in software testing and test automation with increasing responsibility
- Proven ability to investigate products and articulate specific failure stories and risks
- Fluency in testing vocabulary and methodologies, including risk analysis and coverage modeling
- Experience with decision logic and configuration-driven behavior in complex systems
- Exceptional written communication skills for clear and impactful reporting to diverse stakeholders
