Staff Security Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Security Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Own security across applications, services, infrastructure, and developer workflows
• Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks in infrastructure and application codebases
• Lead secure code reviews, architecture discussions, and threat modeling sessions

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a software engineer with an interest in security engineering
• Experience leading or contributing to security engineering efforts across applications and infrastructure
• Familiarity with threat modeling, secure coding practices, and vulnerability management
• Experience with CI/CD systems, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.), and containerized environments
• Experience responding to real-world security incidents and leading remediation efforts
