Staff Security Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Security Engineer to enhance the security of its financial technology products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable detection pipelines across various platforms, including cloud environments
• Develop and mature Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) capabilities and detection-as-code practices
• Act as Incident Commander for the Security Incident Response Team (SIRT) and improve the vulnerability management program

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in detection engineering, security operations, or a similar role
• Expertise in architecting detection pipelines using tools like Chronicle, Splunk, or open-source equivalents
• Familiarity with adversary TTPs (MITRE ATT&CK) and anomaly-based detection techniques
• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, Mathematics, or equivalent technical degree, or equivalent industry experience
• Experience with modern programming languages such as Ruby, Java, Python, or Go
