Staff Security Engineer

Job Summary

As a full-time Staff Security Engineer working remotely, the successful candidate will design, build, and secure products and infrastructure, focusing on implementing next-gen defenses, driving secure software development lifecycle practices, and leading incident response efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of secure infrastructure application architecture and standards
• Embed security into the development lifecycle by creating tooling and CI/CD guardrails for secure code deployment
• Conduct threat modeling sessions for new products and serve as Incident Commander during high-severity security events

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience securing distributed systems in high-growth technology companies
• Proven track record of leading complex security initiatives from conception to delivery
• Strong experience with microservices architecture and cloud-native security controls
• Experience mentoring engineers and driving security excellence across teams
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
