Staff Security Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the threat modeling and operation of security services, the full-time remote Staff Security Engineer will design, harden, and implement automated security controls while collaborating cross-functionally to enhance security practices within the Product and Cloud Security domains.

Key responsibilities

• Threat model, design, and operationalize security services at scale
• Define and implement security standards and automated remediation tools
• Manage the lifecycle of product and cloud security vulnerabilities and mentor junior engineers

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in product or infrastructure security with AWS expertise
• Proficient in Python or Golang and experienced with IaC tooling like Terraform
• Hands-on experience with security posture improvements in large production environments
• Deep understanding of OWASP Top 10 and distributed systems security
• Strong analytical skills with experience in root cause analysis
