Staff Security Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance user safety across Brave's products, the full-time Staff Security and Privacy Engineer will conduct security and privacy reviews, triage and fix security reports, and collaborate with teams to design privacy-preserving protocols in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct security and privacy reviews of Brave browser and Brave Search
• Triage and resolve security reports
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new security and privacy features

Required qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in security or privacy engineering
• Experience in penetration testing and/or security auditing
• Strong proficiency in C++, including implementation and review
• Familiarity with the Web security model and data protection fundamentals
• Comfortable working asynchronously with a distributed software development team
