Staff Security Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the planning and execution of Product Security initiatives, the full-time remote Staff Security Engineer, Proactive Security will own the technical direction for the Dasher Logistics vertical, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance security measures and mitigate vulnerabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Set and manage strategic roadmaps for security initiatives, ensuring integration into DoorDash's platform
• Conduct application security assessments and manage the lifecycle of vulnerabilities from identification to remediation
• Advise and mentor security engineers while developing solutions for complex security challenges impacting DoorDash products

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Product Security Engineer with a strong software engineering background
• Proven experience in providing technical leadership and collaborating with global teams across diverse product portfolios
• Expertise in authorization and authentication frameworks, with hands-on experience in securing microservices
• Familiarity with OWASP top 10 vulnerabilities and experience in analyzing code and architecture from a security perspective
• Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language, such as Java or Golang
