Staff Security Engineer

Job Summary

Focused on enhancing application security, the full-time Staff Security Engineer will manage security assessments, implement security best practices, and collaborate with development teams, with the flexibility to work remotely or from the Chicago office.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct security assessments and code reviews for applications to identify vulnerabilities
• Implement and promote security best practices within the software development lifecycle
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into product development

Required qualifications

• Proven experience in application security and secure coding practices
• Strong understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards
• Experience with security testing tools and methodologies
• Familiarity with cloud security principles and practices
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or equivalent are preferred
