Staff Security Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the security services within DoorDash's Product and Cloud Security domains, the full-time remote Staff Security Engineer will focus on threat modeling, designing security standards, and collaborating cross-functionally to enhance security measures across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Threat model, design, harden, and operationalize security services at scale
• Define and implement automated security controls and remediation tools
• Manage the lifecycle of product and cloud security vulnerabilities, driving remediation and reporting

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in product or infrastructure security, with strong AWS expertise
• Proficiency in Python or Golang, and experience with IaC tooling like Terraform
• Experience in driving improvements to infrastructure security posture in large production environments
• Deep understanding of OWASP Top 10 and distributed systems security
• Hands-on experience with root cause analysis and complex problem-solving
