Staff Security Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the approach to AI and agentic security, the full-time Staff Security Engineer will work remotely to manage security standards for AI workloads, oversee the detection platform, and lead incident response readiness while mentoring teammates and collaborating across teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own the AI and agentic security approach, including guardrails for cloud access and AI workload security
• Manage the detection platform (Panther), ensuring effective detection strategies and incident response readiness
• Lead complex security initiatives, mentor team members, and contribute to security automation and architecture reviews

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in security and software engineering, with expertise in AWS and cloud-native infrastructure
• Proven track record in AI and agentic security, including securing LLM applications and threat detection engineering
• Experience in incident response planning and execution
• Proficiency in writing production code (Python, Go, or TypeScript) and building security tooling
• Strong understanding of SOC 2 and HIPAA regulations, with experience mentoring engineers
