Staff Security Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance and extend the reach of threat detection programs, the fully remote Staff Security Engineer will develop and deploy AI-powered detections, analyze coverage gaps, and build strong partnerships across Security and Engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deploy detections using modern engineering practices and AI-assisted methods
• Mature the threat detection program by analyzing coverage gaps and implementing detective controls
• Design and build automations and AI-driven workflows to strengthen security posture and reduce response times

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of security engineering experience in threat detection, incident response, or related fields
• Strong coding ability in a high-level language such as Python or Go
• Experience handling large-scale log and telemetry datasets programmatically
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Familiarity with risks impacting SaaS products and a risk-based approach to security initiatives
