Staff Security Engineer

Job Summary

Leading security architecture and implementation for cloud and AI platforms, the full-time Staff Security Engineer will ensure security by design across AWS and software delivery while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Define security architecture and engineering standards, documenting decisions and communicating risks to leadership
• Own security architecture for AWS multi-account environments, designing least-privilege access and maintaining reusable security controls
• Lead threat modeling and security design reviews for applications and AI systems, translating telemetry into actionable detections and response plans

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in production security or platform systems with senior or Staff-level ownership
• Deep AWS security experience, including IAM, multi-account environments, and logging/detection
• Strong Terraform or OpenTofu skills, including modular design and policy controls
• Experience securing CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions
• Ability to read and write production-quality code in Python, Go, Ruby, or similar languages
