Staff Security Engineer

Job Summary

As a senior technical leader, the full-time remote Staff Security Engineer will manage complex security incidents, design AI-assisted systems for incident response, and enhance the organization's preparedness through readiness programs and threat hunting initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as incident manager and technical escalation point for high-severity security events
• Design and implement AI-assisted systems to improve incident triage, investigation, and containment
• Own and execute the team's readiness programs, including tabletop exercises and incident debriefs

Required qualifications

• Significant experience leading high-severity security incidents as an incident commander or equivalent
• Proven ability to design and build automation for security operations
• Strong software engineering skills with experience in building production tooling and systems
• Experience managing a security program or capability roadmap from planning to execution
• Deep understanding of cloud-native and identity-driven attack techniques and response strategies
