Job Summary
As the founding reliability voice for Project Volcano, the full-time Staff Site Reliability Engineer will manage end-to-end reliability, architect multi-region Kubernetes infrastructure, and build deployment automation for an internal developer platform in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Define and drive SLOs, error budgets, and incident response practices for all Volcano services
- Design and build the multi-region Kubernetes infrastructure and networking for Volcano's edge deployment pipeline
- Establish deployment automation and CI/CD processes using ArgoCD, Helm, and Terraform/Terragrunt
Required qualifications
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent; substantial experience at Staff or Principal IC level in SRE/Platform Engineering
- Proven track record in building SRE or platform engineering practices for developer-facing platforms or PaaS/SaaS products
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes, including multi-tenant cluster design and security hardening
