Staff Site Reliability Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the architecture and infrastructure security for the SimSpace cyber range platform, the full-time Staff Site Reliability Engineer will define technical strategies, enhance CI/CD and Kubernetes platforms, and ensure system reliability while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Design and architect infrastructure strategies for secure, repeatable deployments across various environments
• Lead the evolution of CI/CD and Kubernetes platforms, improving developer velocity through advanced application packaging and configuration management
• Define and govern Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and Error Budgets to balance feature delivery with platform stability

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Site Reliability, Platform, or DevOps engineering at a Staff, Principal, or Lead level
• Expertise in software engineering with proficiency in modern programming languages such as Go or Python
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes and experience with configuration management tools like Jsonnet and Grafana Tanka
• Extensive experience in architecting CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows using tools like GitHub Actions and ArgoCD
• Strong background in infrastructure security architecture, including container hardening and network security
