Staff Software Architect

Job Summary

Leading the architectural transformation of the Claims Pay platform, the full-time Staff Software Architect will define and execute a modern, API-first architecture while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and define the end-to-end architecture for the Claims Pay domain, guiding its evolution from current to future state
• Set technical direction across multiple teams to ensure alignment between architecture, execution, and business objectives
• Lead the migration from a legacy SugarCRM monolith to a modern API-first, event-driven platform

Required Qualifications

• 8-12+ years of experience in software engineering or architecture, with a focus on leading complex, cross-team initiatives
• Experience with SugarCRM or similar legacy/CRM platforms and strategies for modernization
• Proven success in decomposing monolithic systems into microservices or distributed architectures
• Strong experience with event-driven systems and messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Expertise in API design, including contract design and versioning for REST, GraphQL, or gRPC
