Staff Software Developer

Job Summary

Excited about building reliable, scalable billing and commerce systems, the full-time Staff Software Developer will architect and develop backend services and APIs while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product, design, and operations teams to deliver reliable billing platform experiences
• Lead technical efforts from requirements gathering to production rollout with minimal oversight
• Own the reliability and performance of critical billing components, proactively resolving issues

Required qualifications:

• 14+ years of experience in designing and developing scalable backend systems, preferably in billing or financial platforms
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
• Deep expertise in Java, with experience in Python or other modern languages being a plus
• Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and experience with messaging brokers like Kafka
• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes in cloud environments
