Staff Software Developer

Job Summary

Excited about building reliable, scalable billing and commerce systems, the full-time Staff Software Developer will architect and develop backend services and APIs, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product, design, and operations teams to deliver reliable billing platform experiences
• Lead complex technical efforts from requirements through design, implementation, and production rollout
• Own the reliability, scalability, and performance of critical billing components, proactively resolving issues

Required qualifications:

• 14+ years of experience designing and developing scalable, enterprise-grade backend systems
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a closely related technical discipline
• Deep expertise in Java, with experience in Python or other modern languages being a plus
• Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and hands-on experience with Kafka or equivalent messaging brokers
• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes in cloud-native environments
