Staff Software Developer
Job Summary
Focused on designing and operating Internet-scale systems, the remote Staff Software Developer will build and enhance backend services for scanning, data collection, and processing, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve the accuracy and reliability of Censys' Internet Map.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, build, and operate systems for Internet-scale scanning, DNS resolution, and data pipelines
- Own production backend services that collect, process, and validate massive Internet datasets
- Lead technical design for distributed services and partner with various teams to implement scalable solutions
Required qualifications:
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on production systems
- Strong backend engineering skills in data ingestion pipelines, scanning systems, and high-throughput services
- Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Proficiency in programming, primarily using Go
- Familiarity with distributed databases or large-scale storage systems
