Staff Software Development Engineer

Job Summary

As the senior-most testing authority within the Data Platform team, the full-time Staff Software Development Engineer in Testing (SDET) will develop a comprehensive understanding of the data platform and design the implementation of an automated integration testing strategy, working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Rapidly develop a deep understanding of the data platform's architecture, data flows, and system interdependencies to inform testing strategies
• Design and lead the implementation of an integration testing framework for the Organizer application's streaming data platform
• Define and own the long-term quality and testing strategy for the data platform, ensuring alignment with organizational goals for reliability and engineering excellence

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or SDET roles
• Deep proficiency in Python or equivalent programming language, with experience in writing production-quality code
• Demonstrated experience designing and architecting complex test frameworks or automation systems
• Strong command of NoSQL and relational databases, along with experience in distributed data systems
• Proven ability to influence testing or quality strategy across teams or an engineering organization
