Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

To expand cardiometabolic care and physical activity initiatives, the remote Staff Software Engineer will manage end-to-end architecture and technical direction for new member- and care team-facing experiences while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable systems.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with product, clinical, and cross-functional teams to transform vision into delivered products
• Own architecture and set the quality bar for scalable, maintainable, and secure APIs
• Lead and mentor engineers, guiding technical decisions and removing ambiguity in project execution

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience writing readable, tested, and efficient code
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern backend language, with experience in Ruby or Python
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Proven experience designing scalable APIs and working with CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS) and deployment tools like Kubernetes and Docker
