Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Software Engineer, Risk & Pricing.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and evolution of risk decisioning platforms for credit eligibility and fraud prevention
• Design and build a pricing engine that integrates with risk decisions for customer and product-level pricing
• Own and operate high-scale, 24/7 APIs and distributed systems for risk and pricing decisions

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience with complex distributed systems
• Strong background in risk engineering, including credit risk and fraud detection
• Experience building pricing engines or platforms from the ground up, preferably in fintech
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java and knowledge of JVM performance
• Experience with AWS and service-oriented architectures, REST APIs, and scalable systems
