Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to serve as a technical leader and address architectural challenges in data modeling, APIs, and platform scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the long-term vision and implementation of core data models and internal API architecture
• Teach modern best practices for systems design and mentor engineers through technical sessions
• Improve engineering velocity by designing a standardized API layer and automated testing practices

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• 8+ years of experience in backend systems architecture, focusing on data modeling and API design
• Proven ability to influence technical direction without direct authority
• Expertise in backend programming, particularly with TypeScript, Node.js, and/or React
• Experience with event-driven architecture and cloud infrastructure management
• Familiarity with API design and specification using GraphQL or OpenAPI/Swagger
