Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Focusing on the development of control plane services for the Flink product, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will design and implement job management APIs, build Kubernetes operators for resource management, and mentor junior developers in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop control plane services that manage Flink job lifecycles, including submission, scaling, and recovery
• Ensure code quality, test coverage, and documentation while designing components and collaborating with stakeholders
• Mentor less experienced engineers and participate in team processes and on-call rotations

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant software development experience
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems orchestration, Kubernetes, and cloud-native infrastructure
• Experience in building high-scale control planes and API servers
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration across teams
