Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Driving architecture and enhancing developer experience, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will lead complex projects and set technical direction while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Own architecture and technical design for complex initiatives across the Rails + React stack
• Lead end-to-end delivery for critical projects, balancing short-term feature delivery with long-term platform investments
• Mentor engineers and model excellent engineering practices to shape the engineering culture

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience building and operating production web applications at a Senior/Lead level
• Deep hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails and React, including APIs and performance tuning
• Strong system design and architecture skills, including modularization and scaling strategies
• Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional projects from ambiguous requirements to successful production rollout
• Experience owning production systems, including incident response and root cause analysis
