Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Shaping the future of the Edge platform, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will contribute to a large-scale Ruby on Rails application, focusing on stabilizing and scaling the system while mentoring engineers and defining AI-augmented engineering practices in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Guide the technical direction and architecture evolution of the Edge platform, ensuring alignment with business goals
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, APIs, and project milestones for successful delivery
• Contribute high-quality code and address complex performance and reliability challenges while mentoring other engineers

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, particularly in SaaS or product engineering
• 3+ years in a Staff, Principal, or Lead role with experience in architecture and mentoring
• Deep proficiency in Ruby on Rails and relational databases, with a solid understanding of distributed systems
• Experience in implementing AI-assisted development practices and workflows
• A proven track record of setting technical direction and building alignment across teams
