Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing engineering team, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will build and maintain secure, high-performance GraphQL runtime infrastructure primarily using Rust, while working remotely from the US or Canada.

Key responsibilities

• Build, test, and maintain fault-tolerant infrastructure for GraphQL runtime platforms
• Triage, debug, and resolve escalations from enterprise customers with large GraphQL deployments
• Engage with users to understand their needs and influence the platform's evolution

Required qualifications

• Experience with Rust and a passion for writing performant, maintainable code
• Expertise in systems engineering, including knowledge of stateless and fault-tolerant systems
• Strong debugging instincts and hands-on operational work experience
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams with a positive influence
• Interest in GraphQL and modern developer tooling
