Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Joining a remote team, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will architect and enhance the Registry platform, taking ownership of core systems, leading cross-functional initiatives, and designing APIs and workflows that empower users to build and manage applications effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Own critical Registry domains, including schema and service lifecycle management
• Lead high-impact initiatives involving collaboration with platform, security, and observability teams
• Design platform primitives such as APIs and data models that internal teams and customers rely on

Required qualifications

• Proven experience designing and operating distributed, multi-tenant backend systems in production
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern backend language (e.g., TypeScript/Node, Go, Rust, Java)
• Solid experience with datastores and data modeling, including relational and key-value or document stores
• Hands-on experience with on-call responsibilities, incident response, and postmortems
• Ability to drive system design for complex features that span multiple services and teams
