Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer for a full-time remote position, this role focuses on owning the integration architecture and enhancing the AI Knowledge team's capabilities by building connective pathways for AI while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Own the integration architecture and set the technical direction for external system connections to Gladly's AI
• Build and expand the connective tissue for AI, ensuring it has the context and pathways to take action
• Collaborate with product and design teams to solve product-level challenges and enhance customer experience

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of full-stack engineering experience with a proven track record of shipping large-scale products
• Demonstrated Staff or Principal-level ownership of domains and architectural decision-making
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools and a strong opinion on their effective use
• Deep experience or willingness to learn TypeScript, React, Go, and PostgreSQL
• Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex systems and debugging specific behaviors
