Job Summary

Seeking a Staff Software Engineer with extensive Java experience, the full-time remote position will lead the design and development of distributed storage system components, focusing on reliability and scalability while mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction across teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of distributed storage system components in Java
• Apply expertise in consensus protocols to build fault-tolerant, consistent distributed systems
• Define technical direction for distributed storage development and mentor engineers

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in IT roles
• 5+ years of experience with Java in distributed systems or storage engineering
• Strong background in distributed storage architecture and design
• Hands-on experience with consensus protocols such as RAFT or Paxos
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence technical direction across engineering teams
