Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Co-designing and implementing the backend architecture of a cloud-hosted notebook service, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will focus on achieving high availability and low latency while ensuring system stability and resource optimization, working remotely or from various US locations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the backend architecture for the molab notebook service
• Ensure high availability and low latency for notebook kernel management and communication
• Integrate with specialized Kubernetes-based clusters and optimize GPU utilization

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering
• Strong fundamentals in computer systems, including parallel computing and networking
• Experience with containerization and orchestration, particularly Kubernetes
• Proven track record in building highly available and fault-tolerant systems
• Expertise in cloud infrastructure and resource allocation
