Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Owning a business line as a one-person engineering team, the full-time remote Staff Software Engineer will build and ship AI agents, collaborate with subject matter experts, and integrate solutions into production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Build and ship agents for a specific business line in collaboration with SMEs and operators
• Stand up MCP servers and connectors, transitioning from pre-production to production
• Run workshops to educate business teams on using AI tools and translate workflows into agent skills

Required qualifications

• Experience shipping production agents using Claude Agent SDK, MCP, or a similar stack
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Node, or .NET, with the ability to work across others
• Experience with diverse data stores, including relational, NoSQL, and document databases
• Demonstrated ability to operate end-to-end as a one-person team, including design, shipping, and support
• Strong systems thinking with a focus on failure modes and the ability to manage multiple agents simultaneously
