Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the technical direction for fiat-to-crypto features, the full-time Staff Software Engineer on the Money Movement team will mentor junior engineers, build secure systems connecting users to payment service providers, and collaborate cross-functionally to enhance MetaMask's user experience, all in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Guide the technical execution of fiat-to-crypto features and infrastructure
• Mentor and support a team of engineers across various platforms
• Ensure high code quality and maintain the reliability of Money Movement services

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of full-stack or backend engineering experience in a Staff or equivalent role
• Strong expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, React Native, and modern web technologies
• Experience leading projects across multiple workstreams and mentoring engineers
• Background in fintech, payments, or financial services is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with payment infrastructure, APIs, and third-party integrations
