Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer for a full-time remote position, this role focuses on owning the integration architecture and knowledge surface that powers AI capabilities, while collaborating closely with product and design teams to enhance customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Own the integration architecture and set the technical direction for external system connections to Gladly's AI
• Build the necessary context and pathways for AI to take action, expanding its capabilities across the customer's tech stack
• Mentor team members and collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve product-level challenges

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of full-stack engineering experience with a proven track record of shipping large-scale products
• Demonstrated experience in staff or principal-level ownership of projects with minimal oversight
• Hands-on experience using AI coding tools in daily work
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, Go, and PostgreSQL, or a willingness to learn
• Ability to analyze root causes and tackle complex technical challenges
