Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Focused on enhancing test infrastructure, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will define technical strategies, build core services, and drive improvements in test execution speed and reliability while working remotely with occasional in-person sessions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the technical strategy for test infrastructure across all engineering teams
• Build and operate core services for test execution orchestration, smart test selection, and flaky-test detection
• Mentor engineers and partner with teams to optimize test infrastructure and reduce feedback time

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in building and operating production software, with expertise in distributed systems and a primary language like Go
• Proven track record of defining and delivering technical strategy for foundational systems
• Hands-on experience in test infrastructure, including test execution at scale and flaky-test detection
• Strong operational instincts with a focus on reliability, security, and observability
• Experience driving complex, cross-team technical projects to successful completion
