Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Driving engineering excellence, the remote Staff Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain core components for the Payouts team while mentoring other engineers and ensuring system scalability and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Measure and optimize performance, scalability, and uptime of backend services
• Conduct design and code reviews to uphold engineering standards and rigor
• Provide technical leadership and guidance, mentoring engineers and influencing architectural decisions

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in building distributed and scalable software
• Strong command of Java and Java-based microservices with Spring Boot
• Experience designing and supporting customer-facing RESTful APIs
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent program
• Experience with payment rails and ACH is highly preferred
