Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

As a principal technical leader, the full-time remote Staff Software Engineer will define the architectural evolution and technical strategy for digital pharmacy platforms, ensuring system scalability and security while mentoring engineers across multiple agile squads.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the long-term technical vision and architectural roadmap for B2B and consumer platforms, focusing on microservices and API design
• Write clean, maintainable code and establish engineering standards while leading rigorous code reviews and modern testing practices
• Own the reliability and performance of core platforms, diagnosing complex issues and optimizing PostgreSQL workloads on AWS

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 8+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including 3+ years as a Tech Lead, Architect, or Staff Engineer
• Expert-level proficiency in Ruby on Rails or Python, with deep knowledge of PostgreSQL and AWS cloud infrastructure
• Proven experience in designing and scaling high-volume API-led platforms
• Exceptional ability to communicate complex architectural trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders
