Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Joining the Mission Management Engineering team, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will design, implement, and maintain software for mission management services, focusing on automated operations for the BlackSky constellation, with opportunities for production code development in Python and Go, and the potential for technical leadership.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain software components for mission management services
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and team planning discussions
• Interface with mission planning and ground software engineers to execute autonomous constellation operations

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, statistics, or a related field
• A minimum of eight years of relevant software development experience
• Fluency in Python and a strong understanding of Go
• Expert knowledge of software design, maintenance, and implementation
• U.S. citizenship or status as a U.S. person is required
