Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the design and delivery of application-facing data products, the full-time remote Staff Software Engineer will build full-stack customer experiences using TypeScript, React, Node.js, and Python while collaborating with product teams to enhance customer workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver Built's application-facing data products platform, including backend services and frontend flows
• Build full-stack customer experiences and turn data science prototypes into production-grade product experiences
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to challenge low-value requirements and guide engineering decisions based on customer feedback

Required qualifications

• Staff-level software engineering experience leading customer-facing product initiatives from concept to production
• Strong experience with TypeScript, Node.js, React, and modern web application architecture
• Full-stack web application experience with a focus on backend product engineering
• Experience designing APIs and production backend systems
• Ability to write high-quality, maintainable code with a focus on testing and operational ownership
