Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled AI-Native Staff Software Engineer for a full-time remote position, responsible for designing and building secure, scalable applications that enhance user experiences across Sony's global ecosystem while collaborating with cross-functional teams and directing AI agents throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop RESTful API endpoints with a focus on performance and scalability
• Collaborate with front-end engineers to create dynamic, user-centric web applications
• Direct and govern AI coding agents, ensuring adherence to SEPS delivery standards and maintaining robust documentation

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience with medium to large complex code bases
• Experience in full stack development and REST API design
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Go, or Python
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and the JavaScript ecosystem, including frameworks like React or Angular
• Demonstrated proficiency with AI-native coding tools and an understanding of prompt engineering
