Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Building the next generation of distributed data storage and processing systems, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will develop scalable backend solutions, shape product strategy, and uphold engineering standards, with the option to work remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement scalable and reliable backend systems to support various data consumers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deploy end-to-end solutions for server-side components
• Establish and maintain high standards for code architecture, quality, and engineering processes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field
• Eight years of experience in software engineering or a closely related occupation
• Demonstrated knowledge of AWS technologies and building observability platforms
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or VueJs/Ember) and performance optimization of data systems
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
