Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the development of payment and financial workflows, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will manage the correctness of money movement and payment integrations while modernizing a large Windows desktop application in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the correctness of money movement including posting, reconciliation, and billing to ensure accurate and auditable transactions
• Lead the design and reliability of payment integrations, hardening them against outages and failures
• Drive engineering for real-time electronic claims, ensuring robust error handling and compliance with regulatory changes

Required qualifications

• 8 or more years of experience in building Windows desktop and backend enterprise applications using C#/.NET and C++
• Proven track record of technical leadership, influencing teams, and setting architectural standards
• Experience with object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and layered architecture
• Background in transactional or financial systems with a focus on accuracy and auditability
• Strong debugging skills in production and integration-heavy systems, particularly involving financial transactions
