Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the development of financial workflows and payment integrations, the full-time remote Staff Software Engineer will ensure the accuracy of money movement and drive the modernization of a large Windows desktop application using C# and C++.

Key responsibilities

• Own the correctness of money movement processes, ensuring transactions are accurate and auditable
• Lead the design and reliability of payment integrations and electronic claims processing
• Set architectural direction and improve performance in high-traffic financial workflows

Required qualifications

• 8 or more years of experience in building Windows desktop and backend enterprise applications in C#/.NET and C++
• Proven track record of technical leadership and architectural influence across teams
• Experience with object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and layered architecture
• Background in transactional or financial systems with a focus on accuracy and auditability
• Strong debugging skills in production systems, especially involving financial transactions and third-party APIs
