Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Experienced Staff Software Engineers will find a full-time remote opportunity focused on shaping and building scalable production systems across multiple pods, leveraging AI tools to enhance engineering practices and collaborating closely with product and design teams.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of cross-team projects, guiding them from design to production with minimal handoffs
• Set standards for AI-assisted engineering practices and utilize AI tools to enhance development efficiency
• Make architectural decisions that balance speed, quality, and maintainability while mentoring other engineers

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in building and shipping production systems at scale
• Proven ability to influence AI usage within engineering teams
• Strong backend development skills, particularly with Ruby on Rails or equivalent technologies
• Experience in system design and architectural decision-making across services
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
