Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

As a key technical leader, the remote Staff Software Engineer will drive architectural decisions, contribute to high-complexity features using Python and React, and mentor engineers while shaping technical strategy across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive architectural decisions that balance long-term sustainability with near-term delivery needs
• Contribute production-quality code to critical features and lead modernization efforts to improve system performance
• Serve as a technical mentor, facilitating knowledge sharing and participating in the engineering hiring process

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 years at a senior or staff level
• Deep expertise in Python and a modern web framework, along with proficiency in React or a comparable frontend framework
• Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-team technical initiatives
• Strong command of distributed systems concepts and proficiency with Kubernetes and modern CI/CD toolchains
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
