Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Staff Software Engineer with a backend focus to design and architect scalable APIs and agent interfaces for an innovative programmatic advertising platform, working remotely while leading technical direction and mentoring engineers.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and architect scalable APIs for human and AI agent clients
• Lead development of agent interfaces and communication layers for real-time advertising transactions
• Mentor engineers on API design, distributed systems, and agent architectures

Required qualifications:

• 8+ years building distributed backend systems at scale
• 4+ years in a technical leadership role
• Strong expertise in API design and architecture (REST, event-driven systems)
• Experience with AI agent frameworks and communication protocols
• Proficiency with TypeScript/Node.js, React, and cloud platforms (GCP or AWS)
