Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the end-to-end monitoring service API and UI, the full-time remote Staff Software Engineer will drive architectural decisions, system design, and the development of a user-friendly monitoring experience focused on network topology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architectural direction and long-term roadmap for the monitoring service API and UI
• Deliver comprehensive discovery and inventory management views, ensuring effective visualization of network topology
• Mentor team engineers and elevate standards for production-grade, domain-aware full-stack work

Required Qualifications:

• Production experience with Kafka and OpenSearch in high-volume environments
• Strong familiarity with protobuf and contract-driven development
• Working knowledge of telemetry protocols such as syslog, SNMP, ICMP, and OTel
• Deep understanding of system and network topologies and their interrelations
• Strong cloud knowledge across at least two of AWS, Azure, and GCP
